Double Your Impact for Northwest Connecticut’s Lands and Waters
NCLC is tripling the pace of conservation and is working to open five new public nature preserves by 2028, representing over 1,191 acres of newly protected land. Every forest saved, every new hiking trail, every special place—begins with you. And now, every gift through December 31 will be matched up to $100,000. This is the moment to make a lasting difference. We look forward to seeing you on the land you have saved.
Celebrating 60 Years of Conservation
For six decades, NCLC has advanced the protection of Northwest Connecticut’s special places. And, we are just beginning! Our commitment to safeguarding the lands and waters we all cherish is stronger than ever. As Northwest Connecticut’s regional land trust, we are excited to continue this work—creating a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone.
With an exciting vision for the future, NCLC is working in collaboration with the region’s land trust community to boldly accelerate the pace and scale of conservation. With your support, we are creating vibrant and sustainable communities for today and for generations to come. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
Founded in 1965, Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy is the state’s largest land trust. As a guardian of natural and working lands, public recreation areas, and drinking water resources, NCLC permanently protects 14,200 acres (and growing) of vast, connected natural areas in Litchfield and northern Fairfield Counties.
