Maria Grace

Director of Stewardship

Maria Grace is the director of stewardship. Maria is the former executive director of the Sharon Land Trust, a local land trust partner. Maria has also worked for NCLC partner, Housatonic Valley Association as the New York Watershed Program Manager, building partnerships and running conservation programs within the Ten Mile River watershed.

Maria is a member of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourse Commission in the Town of Salisbury and is the chair of the Town of Salisbury Conservation Commission.

Before relocating to Connecticut in 2014, Maria was the education and outreach manager for the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ, a conservation organization focused on New Jersey’s endangered, threatened, and rare wildlife. She holds a BS in Environmental Science from Stockton College (now University), and an MA in Environmental Studies from Montclair State University, where she was a graduate teaching assistant at the New Jersey School of Conservation. Maria lives in Lakeville with her two sons and Samson the labradoodle, her favorite hiking buddy.
