Hahlawah Preserve, New Fairfield
47 Ball Pond Road East, New Fairfield, CT 06812
11 acres
Hahlawah Preserve comprises 11 acres over three non-contiguous parcels. The two larger parcels are forestland, with the smaller one of the two surrounding Ball Pond Brook. The smallest parcel is on Ball Pond. It is deeded with community access rights to the pond for passive water recreation via a tiny “beach” and provides a buffer zone for pond protection. There is a small water-side trail on this parcel, complete with a bog bridge and seating. This lovely “jewel box” is a small haven in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
Please park on Weldon Woods Road and walk across the street to access the parcel on the corner of Ball Pond Road East and Weldon Woods Road. Do not park on Ball Pond Road East.
