Wildflower Walk at Cobble Brook
August 3, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Summer is here and the meadows are filled with interesting plants and flowers. Join Weantinoge and Karen Cowperthwaite, local landscape architect and horticulturist, for an easy walk at our Cobble Brook Vista Preserve to enjoy some of late summer’s wildflowers. This stroll through the meadows will cover identification, culinary uses, herbal properties, lore, and relationships with pollinators and birds. Late summer and fall wildflowers are important to many animals providing food and shelter as the growing season winds down.
This event is free and open to the public, but please register by emailing info@weantinoge.org so we know how many people to expect. We recommend wearing long pants, a hat, bug spray, and bringing water. Light refreshments will be available after the walk.
Brought to you with the generous support of our members and Ellen Knowles Harcourt Foundation.
