Shelley Rose
Agricultural Program Manager
Shelley Rose is the agricultural program manager at the Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy. Shelley studied political science and environmental studies at Marist College. While there, she volunteered at a nonprofit farm, helping with a variety of field tasks and CSA preparation. Shelley completed a research and writing internship with Food Tank, during which she published several articles on food and farming topics with a global audience. Shelley also worked as a paralegal for several years. She returned to school to analyze legal and institutional frameworks shaping the agriculture sector, earning her Master of Food and Agriculture Law and Policy degree from Vermont Law and Graduate School. Most recently, Shelley helped coordinate and develop Connecticut’s first healthy soils action plan with the CT Council on Soil and Water Conservation.
