About Amy Brady:

Amy Brady is the executive director and publisher of Orion magazine and coeditor of The World as We Knew It: Dispatches from a Changing Climate. Brady has made appearances on the BBC, NPR, and PBS. She holds a PhD in literature and American studies and has won writing and research awards from the National Science Foundation, the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers’ Conference, and the Library of Congress.

About Jennifer Stock:

Jennifer Stock is an essayist whose work has appeared in the Iowa Review, the Yale Review, the New England Review, the Georgia Review, Salmagundi, Hotel Amerika, and the Normal School. Her essays “Parrot on a Stone Plinth” and “Lighter than Air” were awarded notable distinction in the Best American Essays of 2019 and 2021, respectively. She’s the recipient of the 2019 New England Review Award for Emerging Writers. She is currently a Lecturer in Writing at Yale.
